Almora ia a city in the mountains of Uttarakhand India. About ten kilometres from the town, at a somewhat higher altitude, is the temple of Kasar Devi.
"This temple has been found to be of special importance because the region around this temple has enormous geomagnetic field. This is because this temple comes under the Van Allen Belt. The temple itself dates back to the 2nd century CE. There is a gateway on the main road from where winding serpentine steps go up , right up to the temple. There are deodar and pine trees all around. It is very breezy up there.
